I am an enthusiastic teacher with 14 years teaching experience. I am passionate about teaching and learning and see myself as a "life long learner". I'm critically reflective and continually refine and develop my practice to best meet the learning needs of the students in my class. Driven by the desire to engage my students in purposeful and meaningful learning, I believe my practice is innovative and includes effective integration of ICT.
I believe that I am able to build strong relationships with my colleagues, that allow me to work effectively along side them to help improve learning for our students. I have strong curriculum and pedagogical knowledge and lead by example by "walking the talk" in my own teaching practice. Building effective relationships with students and parents is also a strength, through positive, open and honest communication.
I have a proven ability to organise and manage school wide initiatives including Teacher Professional Development, school wide events such as the ASB Maths Challenge and syndicate events, such as Year 5 & 6 Camps.
